The Handmade Music School, along with The Floyd Country Store, is excited to announce the Floyd County Old Time Music Get-Together at the beautiful EcoVillage in Floyd County, Virginia! This amazing four day camp will take place Thursday, March 24 - Sunday, March 27, 2022 (rescheduled from March 2020). Instructors include Caleb Klauder, Sammy Lind, Nadine Landry, Reeb Willms, Tatiana Hargreaves, Jake Blount, Adam Hurt, and Phil Jamison. Cost is $400 for the four day camp.

In this workshop, rhythm guitar master Wyatt Rice will help participants to improve and expand their arsenal of rhythmic backup techniques. Topics to be explored include tone production, cross-picking rhythm, unique bass runs, passing chords, chord substitutions, and chord inversions. Cost is $20.
The Handmade Music School presents a back-up guitar workshop with John Schwab on Saturday April 27, 2019 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Cost is $30. John's classes and workshops include hands-on learning, based on careful listening to classic performances from the 78 rpm era. By using recordings that have been pitch-adjusted and slowed down digitally, students learn to identify and to imitate the characteristic riffs used by the very best backup guitar players of the 1920s and 1930s.
