The Handmade Music School presents Carter Family Song Lab - a four-week class series on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30pm from September 8th - 29th. Classes will take place in-person at the Floyd Country Store in Downtown Floyd, VA. Cost is $140.00 for four classes. Scholarships are available.
The Handmade Music School, along with The Floyd Country Store, is excited to announce the Floyd County Old Time Music Get-Together at the beautiful EcoVillage in Floyd County, Virginia! The camp offers intermediate and advanced classes in fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass, singing, and dance. Afternoon sessions will feature presentations and workshops with visiting masters, and evenings will offer square-dancing, concerts, and lots of tune-playing opportunities.
The Handmade Music School presents Harmony Singing with Nadine Landry and Sammy Lind on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Cost is $30.
To celebrate 50 years of County Sales in Floyd, The Handmade Music School and County Sales is offering a Traditional Brother-Style and Bluegrass Duet Singing Workshop with Jeremy & Corrina Stephens at the Floyd Country Store on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Registration is free with a suggested donation of $20 to Handmade Music School and County Sales.
