Come learn flatfoot and clogging steps with the Handmade Music School before The Friday Night Jamboree!

This free workshop is taught by Sophie Moeckel and held on the dance floor of The Floyd Country Store from 5:45-6:15 PM, on Friday, October 6th, 2023.

Following a brief history of Appalachian percussive dance traditions and a demonstration, we’ll dive into the basics of flatfooting and clogging steps to get you out on the dance floor and try some fun variations on those steps. This workshop is especially for beginners but will be taught to the experience level of the group, all are welcome!

Come ready to dance and stay for the Jamboree to practice your new moves. Smooth-soled shoes are best, but we can make anything work!
